PC Installers

There are three setup files that need to be installed on the computer on which you will be making PDF's. They are:

  • Prinergy Refiner - Print driver necessary for writing proper PostScript files.
  • Creo Distiller Assistant - Distiller startup file that ensures that PDF's are created properly.
  • DSC Distiller.joboptions - These are Distiller settings customized to your workflow.

Step 1
Choose the appropriate installer from the list above
  • Run the installer by double clicking it

  • After the Installer completes the Adobe Postscript Printer Device configuration tool will launch.
  • Click Next
Step 2

End User Licence Agreement

  • Click Accept
Step 3

Printer Connection Type

  • When prompted "How is your printer connected to your computer?"
  • Choose: "It is directly connected to your computer (Local Printer)"
  • Click Next
Step 5

Local Port Selection

  • Choose File: Local Port
Step 6

Select Printer Model

  • Leave it on Generic PostScript Printer
  • Click Next
Step 7

Sharing

  • Choose Not shared
  • Click Next

Printer Information

  • Renaming the printer is optional
  • Choose No for both questions.
Step 9

Setup Information

  • Click Install
Step 10

Printer Configuration

  • Choose No
  • Click Next
Step 11

Setup Complete

  • Choose No, I will restart my computer later
